The Doors

This Week’s Daily Post Photo Challenge theme is ‘Door’.

Intrigued by the theme, I started looking at my photography collection to find the snaps of ‘Doors’. Much to my disappointment, I didn’t get anything which visually talks about my interpretation about the doors. So, I found some interesting ‘Indian Doors’ & created an interesting Board on Pinterest which speaks my idea & interpretation about the doors.

Hope you all appreciate it! 🙂

Every house & building has a door. And, every door speaks about the culture, custom & rituals about the people living behind it.

Here are some doors; few are opened & closed, maintained & dilapidated, colorful & pale, telling stories & shouting silence….every door is speaking something.

These doors are so fascinating.

‘So Powerful. So Quiet.’

I have collated the doors from across India; Raipur, Jaipur, Udaipur, Kolkata, Delhi, Pondicherry & more…
Check out the Pinterest Board, named as, ‘The Doors‘.

These doors demystify many stories about the people living behind them. I have intentionally chosen the doors which show the involvement of people with these doors. The bright & faded colors on the doors evokes the senses of love, passion, commitment, strength & inadequacy of each life.

These doors are not only built to safeguard our home, but also to protect us from the emotional upheavals. Doors cushion us from our everyday life challenges so that when we are back to our home to relax, we can gather all the strength & look back into the eyes of life to say cheers!

Stay Tuned!
